Jagitial: Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy on Tuesday said the government will develop Kondagattu Hanuman temple on par with Yadadri Laxminarsimha Swamy shrine.
Indrakaran Reddy along with MLC K Kavitha laid the foundation for the construction of Ramakoti statue at Kondagattu Hanuman temple.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister informed that based on the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s instructions, the construction of Ramakoti statue was taken up with Rs 90 crore and assured to complete it by June 4.
In the entire country, Telangana was the only State which is developing temples by allocating funds. Chief Minister was developing Yadadri Laxminarsimha Swamy temple by earmarking Rs 1,000 crore. The image of Kondagattu temple would be enhanced with the innovative Hanuman Chalisa recitation programme scheduled to be started from March 17 across the State, the Minister said.
Kavitha felt happy for taking part in the foundation ceremony of Ramakoti statue and hoped that construction would be completed by Pedda Hanuman jayanthi.
Talking about Hanuman Chalisa recitation, Kavitha informed that they were preparing arrangements for recitation of Hanuman Chalisa in every house by forming Kondagattu Anjaneya Sava Samithi.
Every day, Akhand Hanuman Chalisa would be recited per two hours from 5 pm to 7 pm from March 17, she said. So far, devotees wrote Ramakoti for five crore times, she said and added that another six crore times would be completed in next 80 days period and take part in inauguration of Ramakoti statue on June 4.
Zilla Parishad chairperson Dava Vasantha, Jagitial MLA Dr M Sanjay Kumar, Collector G Ravi and others participated in the programme.
