Kothagudem: Two women died and two others were injured when an ash tanker rammed into a roadside house at Bollorigudem near KTPS at Paloncha in the district on Saturday. The deceased, S Koteshwaramma (55) and V Venkata Narsamma, who were sitting outside the house, were crushed to death when the tanker rammed into the house as the driver of the tanker, Shanker Lal lost control of the vehicle.
A Home Guard, Muthaiah, travelling in the tanker suffered minor injuries. The driver, after first aid at local Government Hospital, was taken into police custody. He was reportedly under inebriated condition when the incident took place. The tanker was coming from Rajahmundry in AP to KTPS. Inspector of Police Satyanarayana and staff visited the spot, booked a case and launched investigation into the incident.
