Kothagudem: Paloncha-based Nava Bharat Ventures Limited (NBVL) has been selected for ‘Corona Warriors International Award’
The NBVL Vice President, Y Srinivasa Murthy informed that Viswa Guru World Records, a Hyderabad-based private organisation that recognises human skills in all fields, selected the company in recognition of its outstanding work done during the Covid lockdown in 2020.
He said Nava Bharat contributed an amount of Rs 2.5 crore to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. The company helped as many as 10,000 poor families affected by lockdown by providing essential commodities and medical care, distributed thousands of PPE kits, masks to healthcare institutions, police and municipal workers.
The company provided a central oxygen system for 50 beds at Government Hospital at Paloncha to treat the patients and equipped Paloncha Vaikunta Dhamam with a gas cremation unit to conduct final rites of people who died of Covid-19 in a safe manner, Murthy explained.
Modern washrooms at Tahsildar office
The NBVL as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative constructed modern washrooms at Paloncha Tahsildar office for public use. At a programme on Tuesday the Tahsildar, Ch Swamy along with the NBVL Vice President, Murthy inaugurated the facility.
Speaking on the occasion, Swamy thanked the company for its kind gesture which he said would greatly be helpful to the general public visiting the office for official work.
Nava Bharat General Manager (Civil) MGM Prasad, GM (HR), VV Rajeshwar Rao, Chief Liaison Officer, V Khadarendra Babu, Dy. Manager (Social Development) M Srinivasa Rao, official K Rajeshwar Rao, and others were present.
