Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao rebuked the Congress government over its failure to retain investments that Telangana had previously secured. He pointed out how major companies — Kaynes, Corning, and now Premier Energies — have moved to Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh respectively, under Congress rule.
“These Congress fellows cannot even hold on to the investments we had already bagged a few years ago. What a shame, Rahul Gandhi,” he posted on X. He pointed out how Telangana successfully attracted firms like KITEX under BRS rule, securing investments worth over Rs 3,000 crore.
Rama Rao also criticised the State’s financial mismanagement, stating that the Congress promised to abolish LRS before elections, but was now using it for revenue generation.
“Hyderabad is suffering under HYDRAA and RR tax (Rahul Gandhi and Revanth Reddy), resulting in collapse of real estate,” he said.
He also slammed the government for demolishing poor people’s homes under the pretext of Musi River Rejuvenation, which has led to plummeting property registrations and a revenue crisis.
