Jagtial: BRS working president KT Rama Rao lambasted the Congress government over its diversion politics to cover up its failed governance and inefficiencies. He pointed out rising discontent among not just people of Telangana, but also among the Congress ranks.

Speaking to mediapersons after meeting senior leader T Jeevan Reddy, Rama Rao said the Revanth Reddy government defaulted on the Rythu Bandhu financial assistance three times in the last two-and-a-half years, with dues mounting to Rs 27,000 crore. He said farmers were being misled in the name of loan waivers, triggering widespread anger.

The BRS working president targeted Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy over his recent remarks on delivering promises within three months, calling them inappropriate and unbecoming of the office.

He accused the Chief Minister of using language that insulted women and undermined Telangana’s cultural values. He reminded that none sought a timeline for implementing the electoral promises, but the Congress itself promised to deliver them within 100 days.

He said the government failed to deliver on its promise of providing two lakh jobs, leading to frustration among the youth. He added that none of the Congress party’s six guarantees had been fully implemented despite claims of full preparedness before the Assembly elections.

Rama Rao stated that dissatisfaction was growing within the Congress ranks, with even party workers praying for the BRS to return to power. He accused the Congress leadership of sidelining and humiliating senior leaders, eroding internal cohesion.

He stated that while the Chief Minister was acting with arrogance, the government has lost public trust. He affirmed that the BRS would return to power with public support.
