Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao strongly countered Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s political rhetoric, accusing him of lowering the value of the municipal election campaign with abusive and indecent language, instead of discussing government schemes and policies.
He said the Chief Minister was only capable of foul language and personal abuses which exposed his incompetence and frustration.
Reacting to Revanth Reddy‘s remarks at the Miryalaguda public meeting on Wednesday, Rama Rao said the Chief Minister’s speeches lacked substance and were filled with foul language targeting BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
He asserted that no amount of rhetoric could erase the former Chief Minister who dedicated his life to the Telangana statehood movement and laid the foundation for the State’s development.
He also took a swipe at Revanth Reddy’s recent visit to Harvard University, stating that education or exposure abroad was meaningless without political decency and restraint in public life.
Rama Rao asserted that attempts to belittle Chandrashekhar Rao through harsh words would not succeed and would only damage the Chief Minister’s own image.
He reiterated that political debate should focus on governance and public issues rather than personal attacks, adding that voters were closely watching the tone of the campaign ahead of the municipal polls.
