Hyderabad: Industries Minister and TRS working president K T Rama Rao was non-committal on Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expanding his political horizon to the national level. “Who knows what future has in store! was Rama Rao’s cryptic reply to a Twitterati during his hour-long “Ask KTR” chat session on Thursday evening.
The TRS working president took a volley of questions from tweeple, ranging from national politics to development of the State to renaming of Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar.
Rama Rao’s reply on Chandrashekhar Rao’s future plans was to Gatla Sateesh who asked: “CM KCR garu is trying to bring regional parties together on one platform for the welfare of the Country. Is KCR going to expand his services at the national level?”
To Santosh Kumar’s question on plans to campaign in Uttar Pradesh elections or TRS support to SP to defeat BJP, he said “We will take a call soon after consultations”
Regarding exodus of three Ministers and six MLAs in two days from BJP in Uttar Pradesh, the TRS Working president said: “ Looks like the trend is currently towards SP,”
When Varun Thakkallapalli asked about BJP’s rhetoric narrative around religion instead of speaking about their achievements despite being in power for seven years, he said: “Obviously they can’t speak much about the kind of work they’ve done as they haven’t done any.”
Replying to Ahmed Brilliant’s question on BJP trying very hard to get into Telangana and the plans to stop them, Rama Rao said: “We will continue to focus on good governance and development People want peace and stability.”
The Minister dismissed another query on BJP coming up with the idea of renaming Hyderabad as Bhagyanagar as a “Silly political stunts.”
Regarding his plans to counter the hate propaganda and fake news run by opposition parties, he said: “Telangana people are smart enough to understand what is real and who works for their State.”
To Goverdhan Reddy’s “one word about Modi Ji’s 15 lakhs in each account?” Rama Rai replied: “Jhumla of the Century.”
When Putta Vishnuvardhan Reddy asked about a habitual blackmailer’s challenge for open debate, the TRS Working presidentreplied: “Let him debate MLA Elvis Stephenson Garu. I don’t get into debates with criminals and 420s like him.”
When Ashish Singh Yadav from Uttar Pradesh tweeted: “We never got chance to talk to any of our leaders like this. The ruling party is busy in maintaining his status,” he replied: “I am lucky to represent lovely people of Telangana.”
Pradeep Vattikundala wished to see Rama Rao as IT Minister of India, and he replied: “I am happy to be in Telangana serving my State.”
