Light showers continue in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Light to moderate showers continued in different parts of the city on Tuesday, with several areas in the Secunderabad side recording rains above 5 mm.
According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, Seethaphalmandi and Cherlapally recorded 8mm of rainfall till 4 pm, while Tarnaka recorded 5.5 mm.
During the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 18.8 mm was recorded at Bandlaguda, the TSDPS said, adding that light to moderate rain and thundershowers were expected at many places with heavy rain as well in some places over the next couple of days.
The maximum temperature on Tuesday had come down to 25.2 degree Celsius by 4 pm, with light showers continuing in many places. This was a dip of over three degree Celsius from the normal temperature at this time of the season.
The persistent showers did slow down traffic in parts of the city, with slow movement of traffic being reported from Paradise Junction, Malakpet and other places.
