Lightning claims farmer’s life in Mulugu

The deceased was identified as Chitikaneni Tirupathi (45), son of Sambaiah

Mulugu: A farmer was killed by a lightning strike at Keshavapur village of Venkatpur mandal in the district on Monday. The deceased was identified as Chitikaneni Tirupathi (45), son of Sambaiah.

It is learnt that he was spraying some pesticide to the cotton crop in his fields when lightning struck him, killing him on the spot. He is survived by wife Jyothi, a daughter and a son. The body was shifted to Mulugu government area hospital for autopsy.
