Hyderabad: Losing her mobile phone in a bus proved costly for a 45-year-old woman private employee with cyber fraudsters allegedly siphoning-off Rs 1 lakh from her bank accounts using the phone.

As per available information, the complainant had lost the mobile phone while travelling in a TGSRTC bus from Tarnaka to Kacheguda. She lodged a complaint at the Kacheguda police station within two days of the incident. However, shortly after the loss, unauthorised transactions began occurring from her bank account.

Upon reviewing her bank statement, the victim discovered that around Rs 1 lakh had been debited from her bank account without her consent. Subsequently, she had also submitted an online complaint seeking assistance.
