Hyderabad: Step into a world where mirrors stretch endlessly, lights shift in every direction and reality feels slightly unreal, Hyderabad’s newest immersive attraction Maaya World at Prism Mall, Gachibowli, is designed to blur the line between space, art and illusion.
Built around mirror-based installations and interactive visual effects, the experience uses light, colour and reflections to create constantly changing environments. One of its biggest highlights is the 360-degree LED Time Tunnel, where moving patterns and visuals wrap around visitors, creating a sensation of travelling through space and time.
Inspired by global immersive destinations, Maaya World brings together 11 themed experiences designed for all age groups. “This immersive experience has been inspired by Aya Universe in Dubai and Space and Time Cube in Thailand. I kept wondering why we don’t have something similar in India. I wanted people here to experience these technologies without having to travel abroad,” said Ramana Kumar, Founder and MD of Maaya World.
The attraction features spaces such as Pearl Curtain, Thousand Faces, Kaleidoscope, Mirror Maze, Rainbow Columns and Breathing Forest. Visitors can also cross the Vertigo Bridge, step into the Avatar Tree and enjoy the Ocean of Balls ball pit, while the LED Time Tunnel remains the centrepiece of the experience.
“Bringing the project to life took nearly six months of planning and execution. We wanted to create something that people of all age groups can enjoy, and we would love to see happy faces on every mother and father,” Kumar added.
Unlike traditional amusement centres, Maaya World focuses on immersive storytelling through environment and design. Instead of rides or arcade-style games, each space relies on shifting visuals, reflections and optical illusions to create a sense of discovery.
Designed as a roughly one-hour walkthrough, the attraction moves visitors from one themed zone to another, with each space offering a different mood and visual experience. It works as a family outing, a casual weekend plan or even a photo-friendly hangout, encouraging visitors to explore and interact with every installation.
“My daughter didn’t want to leave the LED tunnel and the ball pit. Usually, after an hour kids get bored, but she was excited throughout. Even we as parents enjoyed exploring the rooms and taking pictures together. It felt like a family experience rather than just a place for children,” said Sneha Reddy, who visited with her five-year-old daughter.
Tickets are priced at Rs 590 for adults and Rs 354 for children, while entry is free for children below four years.
