Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy at a TPCC committee meeting in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Sangareddy: Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy appeared before TPCC committee constituted by TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud to resolve the differences with party’s constituency in-charge Kata Srinivas Goud.
As expected, the turncoat MLA skipped visiting Gandhi Bhavan. He instead chose to attend the committee member’s residence at Himayath Nagar on Thursday. Reddy, who switched loyalties after winning the election on BRS ticket in the 2023 elections, reportedly feared disqualification as an MLA. He also avoided facing the media at Gandhi Bhavan.
Following an attack on Mahipal Reddy’s camp office on January 23, allegedly by followers of Srinivas Goud, the TPCC president had constituted a two-member committee comprising party whip Aadi Srinivas and TPCC vice-president MRG Vinod Reddy.
Reddy reportedly said that he had never humiliated any party leaders or cadre in Patancheru. Since he had experience working in Congress earlier, the three-time MLA from Patancheru said that he would always love to work collectively with all leaders and cadres in his constituency.
Members of the committee said they would present their report to the TPCC president within two days after talking to Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha and TPCC working president T Jagga Reddy.
Kata Srinivas Goud appeared before the committee on January 27.
