Yadadri-Bhongir: On behalf of his Medchal Assembly constituency, Labour Minister Chamakuru Malla Reddy on Monday handed over Rs 3.1 crore to Yadadri temple Executive Officer N Geetha for seven kg gold donation for gold plating of Vimana Gopuram. Along with elected representatives of his constituency, Malla Reddy arrived at the temple by carrying a cash container on his head. He handed over the cash to the temple EO at Yadadri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple (Balalayam).
Speaking on the occasion, Malla Reddy said on behalf of his constituency, 11 kg gold would be donated for gold plating of Vimana Gopuram. He reminded that Rs 1.85 crore was handed over to the temple EO on October 28 for three kg gold for the purpose. The cash for remaining one kg of gold would be donated to the temple EO soon, he added.
