Man dies by suicide after losses in online betting in Hyderabad
A 35-year-old man from Miyapur in Hyderabad died by suicide after suffering financial losses in online betting. Police said he had borrowed money and was unable to repay debts, leading to depression before the incident on Saturday night
Hyderabad: A 35-year-old man died by suicide after suffering losses in online betting.
According to the police, G Papaiah alias Chinna (35), a resident of BK Enclave, Miyapur, was allegedly addicted to online betting and suffered financial losses. He had also borrowed money and invested in betting apps expecting huge returns. However, after suffering losses, the man could not repay the loans and slipped into depression.
On Saturday night, the man hanged himself from the ceiling fan in his room and died, said the Miyapur police.
