Hyderabad: A person died after being electrocuted at a film shooting spot at Shankarpalli in Mokila on the city suburbs on Friday night
According to Mokila Sub-inspector Koteswar Rao, the incident occurred when a film shooting was underway at Tangatur village of Shankarpalli mandal limits. The victim B Shambhareddy (50), a resident of the same village and former AMC director of Shankarpalli, went to the shooting spot. While at the spot, he accidentally came into contact with the electric transformer and died of electrocution.
The Mokila police booked a case and took up investigation.
Mild tension prevailed following the death of Shambhareddy as his family and relatives staged a protest demanding compensation. The police intervened and pacified the protestors. It was only after assurance from the film unit over victim compensation, the protest was called off.
