Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a man who was flying kites died after he fell from a multi-storied building at Ashok Nagar in Chikkadpally here on Thursday.

The victim, identified as Bangaru Krishna, a TRS party activist from Chikkadpally division, was flying kites along with family and friends on the terrace on the third floor on the occasion of the Sankranti festival when he slipped and fell on the iron grills fixed on the compound wall.


“He suffered grievous head injuries and the railing pierced into his body. He died while being shifted to the hospital,” police said.

The Chikkadpally police booked a case and are investigating. The body was handed over to the family after autopsy at the Gandhi Hospital morgue on Friday.
