Man held for illegally selling Remdesivir in Hyderabad

The arrested was identified as K Vineeth (26), a medicine supplier from Peerzadiguda in Boduppal.

Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri Police Special Operations Team on Thursday nabbed a man on charges of selling Remdesivir injections in the black market. Police seized five Remdesivir vials, two mobile phones, and a bike from him.

The arrested was identified as K Vineeth (26), a medicine supplier from Peerzadiguda in Boduppal. According to the police, based on a tip-off, the SOT caught Vineeth at Nacharam while he was selling the injections, each for Rs 27,000, while the actual cost of it being Rs 3,490.

He procured the injections for a lower rate from a dealer and was trying to sell five injections. Vineeth was handed over to the Nacharam police for further action.
