Medak: A man was caught roaming with a toy gun near an agriculture field at Havelighanpur village in Medak district on Thursday morning, allegedly to threaten his rival in a land dispute.
Havelighanpur police received a call from a farmer, Yellam, who complained that a man was trying to intimidate him while he was preparing to harvest his paddy crop. On reaching the spot, police found a dummy gun in the possession of the accused.
Initial inquiry revealed that the two men were embroiled in a dispute over the land, and the case was pending before a court. Yellam had reportedly secured a stay order permitting him to carry out the harvest. When he arrived at the field, he found the rival patrolling with a toy gun.
Police said the investigation was in progress.
