Man injured in bear attack in Bhupalpally district
According to villagers, Nagesh went to the nearby forest area to attend nature’s call when the bear attacked him.
Jayashankar Bhupalpally: One person was injured seriously when he was attacked by a bear at Modedu village, a remote village in Palimela mandal of the district on Thursday.
The injured was identified as Nagesh (45). According to villagers, Nagesh went to the nearby forest area to attend nature’s call when the bear attacked him. The bear escaped into the forest only after the victim lit up a fire. He was first shifted to Mahadevpur Community Health Centre (CHC) where he was administered first aid, and then to MGM Hospital in Warangal as he was seriously injured.
Nagesh works as a sanitation worker on a temporary basis with the Gram Panchayat.
