Medak: A young man sustained serious injuries after jumping off a building while being chased by a troop of monkeys in Narsapur town on Saturday.

The victim, Ganesh (21), sustained serious injuries in the incident. He was rushed to the government hospital in Narsapur for treatment. Locals said civic officials had failed to make efforts to contain the monkey menace even though multiple complaints had been lodged over the increasing monkey population. They urged the officials to catch the monkeys following the incident.
