Man killed, one injured as car mows down bike in Telangana’s Asifabad

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A man was killed, while another person sustained injuries when a car mowed down their two-wheeler in Asifabad on Saturday.
Asifabad Inspector Ravinder said Gurle Mondaiah (50) from Nandiguda village in Kagaznagar mandal suffered grievous injuries when the car hit the motorcycle.
The impact of the collision was such that his right leg got severed and fell around 5 m away from the spot, causing him to bleed profusely.
He was rushed to the district headquarters hospital where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment. He riding pillion.
On the other hand, Manthena Prabhakar, who was riding the motorcycle, was injured and his condition is said to be critical. The duo was moving in the wrong direction on the road, resulting in the mishap.
Based on a complaint received from Mondaiah’s family member, a case was registered against Poreddy Premkumar, the car driver. An investigation is under way.
