Mancherial-based voluntary organisation feeds sanitation workers, traffic cops

Members of Samajik Jagruti Charitable trust and municipal commissioner Swarupa feed sanitation workers in Mancherial on Friday.  Municipal Commissioner G Swarupa Rani complimented members of the trust for providing breakfast and juice to the workers, helping them beat heat wave conditions

Mancherial: Members of Samajik Jagruti Charitable Trust, a Mancherial-based voluntary organisation, distributed breakfast and mango juice to 90 sanitation workers and scores of traffic personnel here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Municipal Commissioner G Swarupa Rani complimented members of the trust for providing breakfast and juice to the workers, helping them beat heat wave conditions. She advised the public to draw inspiration from the members and to take up charity. She said that the workers were playing a vital role in keeping the town clean in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.

Saritha Ojha, president of the trust, said they were feeding around 60 persons including sanitation workers, the needy and policemen working at check-posts in the town since the lockdown was imposed. She said that they were also supplying drinking water to cops involved in implementation of the lockdown for nearly two weeks.

Marwari Yuva Manch president Pawan Tiwari, secretary of the trust Usha Sankla, treasurer Chetana Gupta, advisor Suresh Agarwal, members Premalatha Agarwal, Nagishetti Jyothi, Prabha Agarwal, Geetha Vaishnav, and volunteers were present.
