Mancherial teacher gets national award

Mancherial: Dr Parvati Satyanarayana, a headmaster of Zilla Parishad Secondary School at Mamidipalli in Dandepalli mandal was conferred with Sardar Vallabhai Patel Memorial national award for rendering outstanding services to the field of education. He received the award from former CBI joint director JD Laxminarayana at a programme held in Nalgonda on Sunday. Constituted by Pudami, a literary organisaiton, the award is presented to eminent persons in literature, education, law, medicine, engineering, social and cultural fields.
Satyanarayana was congratulated by his colleagues and students of the school for bagging the prestigious award. He is an official spokesperson of Progressive Recognised Teachers’ Union and senior teacher union leader. He carries a vast experience of 33 years in teaching in different parts of Mancherial district. He had worked as PRTU district president for quite a long time.
A native of Narlapur village in Rebbena mandal of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district, the 54-year old had begun his career with the Education department as a special teacher in 1987. He cracked the job by excelling in a written test after completing his intermediate course . He, however, pursued BA mathematics, B Ed, MSC Mathematics, M Ed and LLB from various universities and then rose to the head master.
