Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Students of Zilla Parishad Secondary School staged a sit-in on a road alleging that they were provided with reportedly worm-infested food at Koutala mandal centre on Friday.
Carrying plates of food, a large number of students complained that they were fed on food containing worms. They requested officials to take steps to ensure wholesome food cooked in hygienic conditions. They raised slogans against the management of the school seeking justice.
The students boycotted classes and protested against the mid-day meal served at the school. They, however, withdrew their protest when education officials assured to take action by conducting an inquiry into the incident.
