Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad showcases Andhra cuisine through curated food festival
Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad is hosting a six-day Andhra food festival at Mazzo, curated by Telugu cuisine expert Chef Meera Girija Tadimeti. The showcase highlights traditional recipes, regional flavours and the philosophy of Shadruchulu through an authentic culinary experience.
Hyderabad: Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad is set to celebrate the rich culinary heritage of Andhra Pradesh with a special Andhra food festival at Mazzo, curated by renowned Telugu cuisine expert Chef Meera Girija Tadimeti.
Moving beyond the common perception of Andhra cuisine as merely spicy, the showcase presents a nuanced exploration of the region’s culinary traditions, highlighting its diversity, cultural significance and distinctive flavours.
For Chef Meera, Andhra cuisine is a reflection of culture, memories and the philosophy of Shadruchulu—the harmonious balance of six tastes that forms the foundation of traditional Telugu cooking. The festival brings this philosophy to life through recipes that have been preserved and passed down through generations.
Guests can begin their culinary journey with regional favourites such as Pesara Punugulu, Cabbage Vada, Chicken Cheekulu and Kobbari Muttilu. The menu also features hearty dishes including Andhra Veg Pulao, Andhra Chicken Pulao, Ragi Sangati and Mamidikaya Pappu.
Signature preparations such as Dosakaya Mutton, Beerakaya Royyalu and Vankaya Kothimeera Karam showcase the depth and character of Andhra home-style cooking. Traditional accompaniments including Avakaya, Pachi Pulusu, Kobbari Karam and Kandi Podi further enhance the authentic dining experience.
The culinary showcase concludes with traditional desserts such as Kova Bobbatlu and Pakam Garelu, complemented by a refreshing glass of Frozen Rose Milk.
The Andhra food festival will be held at Mazzo, Marriott Executive Apartments Hyderabad, from June 16 to 21, 2026, beginning at 7 pm each day.
