Medak: Papannapet police cracked the murder of a woman within 36 hours after she was found dead near the Nagasanpally bridge close to the Edupayala temple.

Police identified the deceased as Bygari Sulochana (35), a resident of Kodupak in Papannapet mandal. Investigation revealed that she was allegedly killed by her paramour and another woman with whom he was maintaining a relationship. Sulochana, a widow, had gone missing on Monday and her body was found on Tuesday.

During the investigation, police found that she was in a relationship with a mason, Raju (47), and used to go to work regularly with him. However, Sulochana had objected to Raju maintaining a relationship with another woman, Bhuli.

Police said Raju and Bhuli allegedly conspired to eliminate Sulochana as she was coming in the way of their relationship and invited her to a liquor party on Monday. After consuming liquor for some time, Raju and Bhuli allegedly beat Sulochana to death. They also removed the gold and silver ornaments she was wearing before fleeing the spot.

Following a complaint lodged by Sulochana’s son Rajesh, police registered a case and launched an investigation, which led to the case being solved within 36 hours. The police arrested both Bhuli and Raju.
