Medical camps organised for police, Guthikoyas in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: A free mega medical camp for police officers and staff working in Paloncha police sub division at Paloncha town police station was organised on Wednesday.
DSP, Sathish Kumar inaugurated the medical camp where tests like ECG, gynaecology, BP, sugar, dental problems, eye, orthopedic, urology, physiotherapy, cardiac and blood tests were conducted by expert doctors.
Police have to live a restless life while maintaining law and order. In many cases, they have to perform their duties without food and sleep and thus the health of the police officers and staff would be affected, he said.
Recently, it has come to the attention of the higher officials that some police officers and staff in the district were suffering from illnesses. As per the directions of SP, B Rohith Raju, the health camp was held to protect the health of the police officers and staff, he said.
The SP thanked the medical team that provided medical treatment at the camp. All the doctors who participated in the medical camp were honoured with shawls and mementos. As many as 120 police officers and staff underwent tests in the medical camp.
Similarly a medical camp was organised for adivasis at Shettipally village under Komararam police station. Around 100 villagers underwent medical tests. Yellandu DSP, Chandra Bhanu said that the police department would always support the migrant Guthi Koyas living in the agency villages.
A community connect programme by Karakagudem police was organised at Niladripeta adivasi village in Karakagudem mandal. Police distributed clothes, bed sheets, mats, water bottles, door curtains and bags to the villagers with the help of Adarsh charity organisation.
Edulla Bayyaram CI, Venkateshwarlu asked the villagers to inform the police immediately if any new person enters the village. He advised them not to provide any assistance and support to the banned CPI-Maoists, who he said were blocking the development.
