Hyderabad: G Narayanamma Institute of Technology & Science (GNITS), founded by G Pulla Reddy (late), has launched the first cohort of MiraiNxt accelerator programme at MiraiNxt Innovation Centre at Shaikpet, Hyderabad.
The programme aims to support startups in reducing their time to market and leveraging faster revenue scale-ups.
“We received over 50 applications and after multiple rounds of evaluation by the external subject matter experts and MiraiNxt Board of Governors, we shortlisted three startups to support them over the next six to eight months. The three startups include Nextmeet, Learn by Research and Sycuris Lab,” Kartheek Thatikonda, head, MiraiNxt Innoworks, told Telangana Today. The selection is based on the startup team, scalability, and if the startup is at early revenue stage, and mainly if MiraiNxt has the resources to help the startups grow their business.
The startup Nextmeet, founded by Pushpak Kypuram and Prashant Chandra, has created an Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality platform that gives the next dimension (3D) to online meetings.
Learn by Research, founded by Karan Patil, aims to revolutionise the way research papers are written in India. Sycuris Lab, founded by Balaji Venkateshwar, is training cybersecurity professionals for the industry. Thatikonda explained, “As part of the accelerator programme, MiraiNxt provides support to the startups on growth, strategy and funding. We will associate mentors to the startups who will help them in building their technology platform and marketing strategies.” The startups will hire interns from GNITS, and in future there will be emphasis on women entrepreneurship as GNITS is a women’s college.
