Hyderabad: With farmers struggling to get urea, Miryalguda MLA B Laxma Reddy handed over a cheque for Rs.2 crore to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, appealing that the amount be used to supply fertiliser to farmers in his constituency.
He urged the Chief Minister to ensure one urea bag each for one lakh farmers.
Recently, the MLA’s son Sai Prasanna’s marriage was performed and a reception had been planned in Miryalguda. However, the family decided to divert the money meant for the reception towards providing relief to farmers.
