Hyderabad: The rhythmical beats of ‘Hadrami marfa’ and ‘Naubat or Nakkare’ will greet the Miss World 2025 contestants when they arrive at Charminar for the Heritage Walk scheduled for Tuesday evening.

A 12 member troupe will play marfa drums at Charminar to welcome the delegates when they arrive in the old city. A couple of Naubat nawaz will beat the drums at Jullu Khana entrance. Both the groups were roped in to showcase the rich culture of Hyderabad.

A total of 140 delegates will be attending the Heritage Walk planned for Tuesday and will be accompanied by tour guides who will explain to them the history of Charminar, Laad Bazaar, Jullu Khana, and Chowmahalla Palace. The delegates are expected to climb the Charminar monument and have a glimpse of the city from the top.

The contestants will also visit the bangles shops at Laad Bazaar, Zardosi workshops at Jullu Khana and the Dawasaz shops (herbal stores) in Moti Galli before heading to the Chowmahalla Palace.

The Heritage Walk will start at 5 pm and later in the evening culminate at Chowmahalla Palace. The guests will dine in the environs of the royal palace while the menu was not released so far, it is learnt they will be served Biryani, Mirchi ka Salan, Qubani ka Mitha, Dum ka Murgh, Kebabs, among other cuisines. A musical concert is being organised at the Chowmahalla Palace for the guests and prominent artists from the country will perform at the venue.

The police have prepared a bandobast plan and are making tight security arrangements for the event. The local police will be assisted by the armed reserve police who will cordon off the area.
