Hyderabad: With BRS working president KT Rama Rao set to appear before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with the Formula-e race case and the BRS announcing a protest against the Rythu Bharosa betrayal, many BRS leaders are being placed under house arrest in the State.
Police prevented Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy from heading towards the gym this morning. Since 5.30 am, he has been placed under house arrest in Hyderabad.
Similarly, BRSV general secretary Mekala Vidya Sagar was picked up last night and has been placed under arrest at the Kollur police station. Over 100 BRSV leaders have been taken into preventive custody by the police at different places. They are being detained at different police stations.
The BRS party leaders are raising strong objection over the State government’s move to arrest party leaders in the guise of enquiry and detain them at police stations.
