Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao at a press meet in Warangal on Saturday.
Warangal Urban: Alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was shedding tears to gain people’s sympathy, Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao suggested him not to cry but act to address the issues related to Covid crisis. Rao also alleged that the Modi government was meting out step-motherly treatment to Telangana with regard to the supply of oxygen, Remdesivir injections and other medicines.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Saturday, Rao said, “The Prime Minister must come out of his house. He should visit the States and know the problems of the people. What are the Central Ministers doing?”
Finding fault with the Union government for allocating more oxygen and medicines to Modi’s home State of Gujarat, Rao said that the Prime Minister was able to see only Gujarat and had turned a blind eye to the woes of other States. “It is need of the hour. The Union government must ensure adequate supply of vaccines to check the spread of the deadly virus,” the Minister suggested.
Meanwhile, the Minister thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for directing officials to construct a super speciality hospital on the premises of the Warangal Central Prison in the heart of the city. “People of Warangal are lucky. The Chief Minister visited the city and announced a super specialty hospital. As 23 acres of the vacant land is available behind the prison, the Chief Minister has asked the officials to begin construction work of the hospital immediately,” he added.
Referring to the shortage of technical staff at MGMH, Rao said that Chief Minister had also directed the officials to appoint the staff at the earliest. “On behalf of the people of Warangal, we thank the Chief Minister for visiting the city and inspecting the MGM Hospital,” he added.
Government Chief Whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar and others were present at the press meet.
