Movie on slain gangster Nayeem to hit screens on Dec 10
Directed by Damu Balaji, the movie is titled 'Nayeem Diaries'. The film will hit screens on December 10. Actor Vasishta Simha will play the title role in the movie.
Hyderabad: A movie based on the story of renegade Naxalite and notorious gangster Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem will be soon released in theatres.
Directed by Damu Balaji, the movie is titled ‘Nayeem Diaries’. The film will hit screens on December 10. Actor Vasishta Simha will play the title role in the movie. The makers recently released a trailer of ‘Nayeem Diaries’ on YouTube.
“The story is about the renegade Nayeem, who influenced political and administrative systems and how he was gunned down by the police in an encounter. There is a lot of research that went into his life post the encounter,” Balaji said while sharing his experiences as a revolutionary when he happened to work with Nayeem who went underground in the past.
Yagna Shetty, Divi, Baahubali Nikhil, Sashi Kumar and Jabardast Phani will be among the cast, while music is being composed by Arun Prabhakar. Touted to be an action entertainer, the film is being bankrolled by CA Varadaraju.
