Nalgonda: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy asserted that River Musi Rejuvenation Project would be taken up irrespective of the challenges and at any cost to address water issues of erstwhile Nalgonda farmers and residents.
The opposition was urged to suggest measures for rehabilitation of River Musi oustees. They did not support, instead they instigated the oustees and all attempts were being made to create hurdles in the project execution, he charged at a public meeting in Alair constituency here on Friday.
The Chief Minister accused that in the last 10 years, many irrigation projects, including SLBC and others were not completed. As the Congress government was trying to complete the pending projects, unable to stomach the good work, the opposition was creating unwanted issues, he said
Stating that people were aware of who had amassed wealth in the Yadagirigutta contracts, the Chief Minister said “I do not want to drag the God into controversy and politics”
Reminding that the Yadagirigutta gopuram (tower) gold plating was completed using 60 kgs of gold, he announced that shortly the Yadagirigutta Temple Board would be set up on the lines of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Board.
Efforts were made to address the government employees’ issues, including their DAs and other demands. While, the employees unions welcomed government’s decisions, the past government, which paid salaries in installments was criticising the Congress government, he maintained.
The Chief Minister asserted to take up the responsibility of chasing away the BRS and appealed to the people to extend their support, he said.
“I achieved my target of dethroning the BRS government. I do not have any other dreams,” Revanth Reddy said, demanding that BRS leaders, who were served notices, should appear before the Kaleshwaram Commission.
Appealing the people to bless the Congress to be in power for the next 10 years, the Chief Minister asserted that Telangana would be made into a one trillion USD economy.
