Siddipet: NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) Chairman GR Chintha and other officials visited Ranganayaka Sagar and Mallanna Sagar, which were built in Siddipet district as part of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS).
Speaking on the occasion, the NABARD Chairman hailed Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for taking up such a wonderful project. He said that the projects would benefit the farming fraternity.
The NABARD officials, accompanied by Telangana engineering officials, flew in a chopper from Hyderabad. They had examined the pump house, distributor canal, and others of Ranganayaka Sagar. Engineer-in-chiefs Muralidhar, Hariram, YK Rao, and others explained to the NABARD chairman about the KLIS and the reservoirs that were being under the project. Additional Collector Siddipet Muzammil Khan has extended reception to the officials.
