Singer Pailam Santhosh passes away at Nalgonda
Santhosh had worked as an artist of Telangana Samskruthika Sarathi after formation of Telangana State and strove to create awareness among people on welfare schemes of the State govt
Nalgonda: Singer and Telangana Samskruthika Sarathi artist Aduri Brahmaiah alias Pailam Santhosh (43) passed away on Sunday.
Santhosh had actively participated in Telangana agitation. He had worked as an artist of Telangana Samskruthika Sarathi after formation of Telangana State and strove to create awareness among people on welfare schemes of the State government.
Earlier, he worked as a member of Arunodaya Samskruthika Samakhya and got recognition as people’s singer. He rose to fame with his album ‘Pailam’ on migration of people of Telangana to Mumbai for livelihood.
He was hospitalised with throat-related disease and later discharged from the hospital in Nalgonda on November 14. He died when he was being shifted to Government General Hospital in Nalgonda due to breathing problem.
Santhosh, a native of Velidanda in Garidepally mandal of Suryapet district, lived in Dugunelli of Nalgonda district. His body was shifted to Dugunelli where his final rites would be held on Monday.
