National Sports Day: SMP International School students honour Major Dhyan Chand in Hyderabad

Students of SMP International School, Hyderabad, participated in a National Sports Day programme at Lal Bahadur Stadium and paid tribute to hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. The event highlighted the importance of sports in students’ overall development and encouraged excellence in academics and athletics

Hyderabad: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of legendary Indian hockey player Major Dhyan Chand, observed across the country as National Sports Day, students of SMP International School, Hyderabad, participated in a special programme held at Lal Bahadur Stadium and paid rich tributes to the hockey legend.

The programme was organised in association with the Sports Authority of Telangana. Senior sports officials and dignitaries participated in the event and offered floral tributes to Major Dhyan Chand, recalling his outstanding contribution to Indian hockey and remarkable achievements at the international level.
