Nava Bharat sets up drinking water plant at Paloncha health centre
As part of its CSR initiative, Nava Bharat Energy India Limited set up a 100 LPH safe drinking water plant at the Government Urban Primary Health Centre in Shekharam Banjar, Kothagudem. Officials appreciated the company’s efforts to improve hospital facilities for patients.

Kothagudem: Paloncha-based Nava Bharat Energy India Limited, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative, has set up a safe drinking water plant with a capacity of 100 litres per hour (LPH) and a submersible motor at the Government Urban Primary Health Centre in Shekharam Banjar.
The District Medical and Health Officer, Dr Tukaram Rathod, inaugurated the facility at a programme on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, he lauded the CSR activities of the Nava group, adding that he had not seen any corporate organisation undertaking such initiatives for government hospitals in other districts where he had worked.
The Medical Officer of the health centre, Dr Krishna Kumari, said that for the past year, patients visiting the hospital had faced many difficulties due to the lack of water facilities. When the matter was brought to the notice of the Nava Limited management, the company immediately set up the safe drinking water plant for the benefit of the patients.
The company’s General Manager (CSR), MGM Prasad, said that oxygen points had been established at the Paloncha Government Hospital and Ramavaram Maternal and Child Medical Centre, and that a waiting hall for patients was being developed at the Paloncha Government Hospital this year.
Nava Limited representative and DGM (HR) Srinivasa Reddy, Shekharam Banjar village elders Balu Naik and Kishore, Gandhinagar elders Ramu, Lalu, Shankar and Kishan, along with CSR staff Rajesh, Venkanna and Balu, and medical staff, participated in the programme.
