Hyderabad: National Collateral Management Limited (NCML), a post-harvest solution provider, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Agriculture Skill Council of India, a non-profit organisation that works to upgrade skills of farmers, wage workers, self-employed and extension workers, to provide skill training in the agriculture sector.
The collaboration would provide practical and professional skill training and recognition of prior learning as per PMKVY 3.0. This will give impetus to agriculture growth, said Unupom Kausik, President, NCML.
NCML will recognize prior learning for about 9 different skills which are matching the QPs (Qualification Pact) of ASCI and will identify 920 people across Telangana, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and others.
ASCI will be a facilitator for creating occupational standards for various job roles as per the National Skill Qualification Framework, a release said.
