NDMA expert team to visit Sigachi blast site

An NDMA expert team will visit Sigachi Industries in Sangareddy to investigate the explosion that killed 42 and left 8 missing. The team will assess the blast site, meet victims' families, and recommend safety measures for industrial zones.

Sangareddy: An expert team from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is scheduled to visit the Pashamylaram industrial area in Sangareddy district on Tuesday to study the causes of the recent explosion at Sigachi Industries Limited.

According to district officials, the team will inspect the blast site and assess the circumstances that led to the industrial accident. The team will submit its findings to the State Disaster Management Authority as well as a detailed report to the Central government.

So far, 42 people have been confirmed dead in the explosion, while eight remain missing.

The NDMA team is expected to interact with the families of the victims, district officials, and representatives of the company’s management. The committee will also make recommendations to prevent such incidents in future across industrial areas in the district.
