Three more victims of Sigachi blast identified through DNA; 11 families still wait confirmation
Three more victims of the Sigachi Chloro Chemicals blast were identified through DNA reports, taking the total to 39. All were migrant workers from Bihar and Odisha. Two bodies remain unidentified as families await confirmation at a Sangareddy rehab centre.

Sangareddy: Three more bodies of the victims of the Sigachi Chloro Chemicals Private Limited explosion were identified on Saturday morning after officials received DNA reports from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL).
With this, the total number of identified victims rose to 39. Two more bodies remain in the mortuary at the government hospital in Patancheru. Officials were awaiting a few more DNA reports by Saturday evening and were hopeful of identifying the remaining two bodies as well.
All three individuals identified on Saturday were migrant workers from Bihar and Odisha. They were Poornachandar Sahu from Odisha, and Aslam Ansari and Shambu Ram Vihar, both from Bihar. Efforts were underway to send their bodies to their respective native villages with ambulance arrangements in place.
Meanwhile, eleven more families were still waiting to trace their missing relatives, who remained unaccounted for following the explosion. Their blood samples had been collected for DNA matching. These families were staying at a rehabilitation centre set up at the industrial area in Pashamylaram, Sangareddy district.
