Hyderabad: National Federation of Indian Railwaymen (NFIR) General Secretary M Raghavaiah termed the union budget “disappointing” for the working class and the railway workforce in particular.
He said the government had failed to create new posts for maintenance of assets built in Indian Railways over the past decade. Posts required for safety-related activities were also not sanctioned due to ban orders of the Union Finance Ministry, he added in a statement.
The NFIR General Secretary expressed disappointment over what he described as the casual attitude of the central government towards vital safety issues in railways.
