Warangal Urban: Director, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, Prof N V Ramana Rao, has urged the students studying at the NITW to design projects to address the needs of the society and public.
Addressing the students of the SC/ST students at the valedictory programme training session organised by the Dr BR Ambedkar Learning Centre and Centre for Carrier and Planning Development(CCPD) here on Tuesday, Rao said that they had conducted on the training session for 30 days for the improvement of job skills.
Rao congratulated the SC and ST students studying in NITW for the projects designed by the students on the topics learned in the special training. Expressing satisfaction over the creation of projects that focus on the problems that people face in daily life and mobilize the necessary technology to solve them, he said that he was expecting a large number of such new ideas to come from the students and researchers. He also appreciated Dr J Ravi Kumar, NITW, SC, ST Cell Coordinator, Dr K Kiran Kumar, Head CCPD of NIT, Warangal, for assisting the students in the creation of projects in special training.
S Govardhan Rao, Registrar, NITW, said that during the special training, the students had designed projects on face masks, trackers which would identify the vehicle number plate of the vehicles which would travel exceeding the speed limit on the road, smart irrigation, database based hospital management, etc., and said NITW would take these innovative projects towards the notice of the Commissioner of Police, Warangal, and help to bring these ideas into use. The students have also demonstrated respective innovative projects on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, data programming, etc., and many students expressed that this training was very beneficial to them.
Dr B Raju Naik, Dr B Spoorthi, Dr B Ramakrishna, and other faculty were present at this programme.
