Nizamabad: Officials set up fifty polling stations for Nizamabad local bodies council by elections, among them 28 polling stations set up at Nizamabad district and 22 polling stations arranged in the Kamareddy district.

On local bodies council by-elections, returning office, and Nizamabad collector C Narayana Reddy conducted a meeting with erstwhile Nizamabad revenue and police officials at Nizamabad collectorate, in this meeting Nizamabad CP Karthikeya, Kamareddy collector Dr. Sharath, SP Swetha Reddy, Nizamabad Municipal commissioner Jithesh V. Patila participated.


At the occasion RO Narayana Reddy said that on 9th October held the by-elections and distribute the election material on 8th October, from Nizamabad polytechnic college distribution center. He informed that earlier setup only one polling the station at revenue division, but now setup 50 polling stations at each mandal headquarters, in the view of COVID-19.

Collector said that divided these 50 polling stations into 15 routes and two MPTC’s belongs to Sirisilla district and 1 MPTC belongs to Sangareddy also cast their vote in this election. For these elections appointed 21 micro observers and perform webcasting in 48 polling stations and cover two polling stations with video camera; in each polling station appoint a polling officer, micro observer, apart from them allocate a medical officer and ANM.

Returning officer said announce the dry day before 48 hours of elections and close the wine shops from 7th October 5 pm. Collector announced the holiday on 8th October to the Nizamabad polytechnic college and close the offices 100 meters surrounding the polling stations on 9th October.

He said that totally 24 voters infected with Corona positive in Nizamabad local bodies council election and provide two options to them, one is a postal ballot and the second is cast their vote in last hour polling form 4 pm to 5 pm.

Allocate 4 PPE kits to each polling station, medical officers provide assistance to them at the help desk. Collector said that each candidate allocates a polling agent, and allow him into the polling station, whenever he comes to the polling station. collector said that conduct counting on 12th October at Nizamabad polytechnic college.
