Nizamabad: Modernised kitchen launched for free meal scheme

Nizamabad: A modernised kitchen to prepare hygienic food for more number of people as part free meal programme was launched at Gangastan of Nizamabad by MLC K Kavitha.
As part of the free meal scheme initiative, Kavitha inaugurated the new facility. Eight lakh people benefitted under the free meal scheme introduced by Kavitha at Nizamabad, Bodhan and Armoor hospitals since the last three years. The new kitchen equipped with modernised equipment will not only provide quality food but also reduce considerable time in food preparation, she said.
The new kitchen has facilities to cook one quintal rice in 20 minutes and make thousand chapattis within one hour.
During the lockdown Kavitha helped in providing free meals to thousands of people in Nizamabad, Jagitial, Metpally areas besides running free meal programme at Nizamabad, Bodhan and Armoor hospitals.
R&B Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Sirpur-Kagaznagar MLA Koneru Konappa launched the kitchen at Gangastan of Nizamabad city.
