No damage to Hyderabad metro rail system due to Ameerpet blaze: HMRL clarifies
Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited clarified that the fire near Mythrivanam in Ameerpet did not affect Metro infrastructure or services. Managing Director Sarfaraz Ahmad said train operations continued without disruption.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) Managing Director Sarfaraz Ahmad clarified that the fire accident that occurred near Mythrivanam in Ameerpet did not cause any damage to the adjacent Metro Rail infrastructure.
He said that there is no apparent damage, the asset is fully functional, and an in-depth assessment of the affected assets has been undertaken. He said Metro Rail services were not disrupted in any way and train operations continued normally.
Although the dense smoke caused some inconvenience, there was no impact on Metro Rail operations. He further explained that the only visible impact of the fire was on the vinyl sheets of the advertisement boards mounted on the Metro pillars.
No structural or operational components of the Metro system were affected, he added.
