Nalgonda: Not wearing a mask, spitting in public place and brushing teeth on the streets would attract Rs 1,000 fine in Anneparthy village of Nalgonda district.

As per the decision of grama panchayat, a lockdown was being implemented in the village, which will continue until May 31. Shops, including groceries and vegetable shops, would be allowed to open from 6 am to 10 am only.

Speaking to Telangana Today, village Sarpanch Mekala Aravind Reddy said that wearing mask while coming out of houses was mandatory. Spitting on the roads was also banned. People have a habit of brushing their teeth outside their houses while moving around in streets in this village. Keeping this in mind, brushing in public places was also banned. Gram panchayat would impose Rs 1,000 fine on those who violate them, he added.

These restrictions were adopted by the gram panchayat members unanimously keeping in mind the increasing number of Covid-19 cases, he added.
