Hyderabad: Rubbishing the people’s resistance to sharing crucial personal information in the ongoing caste census reluctance, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday argued that people did not have issues in sharing details with mobile service providers but were apprehensive to share the same with the State government.

Though he did not elaborate on why personal data should be shared when the primary focus of the census was caste, Revanth Reddy alleged that both BJP and BRS were trying to create controversies over the caste census as they were worried about the consequences. Caste census was being taken up to distribute wealth to the genuine beneficiaries, he said while speaking at Express Adda programme in New Delhi on Tuesday.

“Rahul Gandhi calls it X-Ray of India. I call it Mega Health Check up for society. We need to have 360 degree details to ensure welfare of different sections,” Revanth Reddy said.

Playing down the controversy surrounding Telangana government seeking Gautam Adani’s investments, the Chief Minister said the State was not giving any natural resources for free to Adani Group.

“Gautam Bhai has got enough money and if he wants invest in Telangana or take up any welfare programme, I have no issues,” he said, adding that unlike Modiji, the State government was not snatching a port or airport and handing it over to Adani Group.

Listing out Future City, Musi Riverfront, Regional Ring Road and Radial roads as his four pet projects, Revanth Reddy claimed that he would be in power for 10 years and complete them at any cost.

Also accusing the BRS and BJP of collusion, the Chief Minister said the ACB had approached the Telangana Governor for permission to act against former Minister KT Rama Rao 15 days ago.

“The file is still pending and I am told Governor is in New Delhi today. This reflects a lot,” the Chief Minister said.
