One killed, several injured in Genome Valley boiler accident

A boiler accident at Sai Life Sciences in Genome Valley, Hyderabad, claimed one life and left several workers injured. Authorities have launched an inquiry into safety compliance, while police stated no case has been registered.

Hyderabad: One person allegedly died and several others were injured following a boiler-related accident at Sai Life Sciences in the Genome Valley area. The injured workers are receiving treatment.

Director of Factories Mohan Rao confirmed the death and said the victim was from Maharashtra and that the condition of the other injured workers was being monitored while they were provided medical treatment.

Authorities have initiated an inquiry into the circumstances leading to the accident, including safety measures and compliance with prescribed standards at the facility. “We have inspected the premises. A notice has been issued to the company seeking details on the cause of the accident and safety protocols in place,” said Mohan Rao.

The Genome Valley police however said that no case was registered.
