As Shakespeare says ‘sweet are the uses of adversity,’ these unprecedented times have brought the best out of many people. This is a kind of a blessing in disguise. Schools especially have emerged successful in facing the challenges undauntedly.
This is a feather in the cap for the teachers who have been instrumental in moulding the personalities of the children. The teachers have risen quickly to the occasion and adapted themselves according to the changing times. They almost became like frontline workers in the arena of teaching.
Online classes, assessments, open houses, events, webinars, training programmes … you name it they have done it all. Kudos to the teachers and students who have been relentlessly striving to tie the threads of many loose ends. The adverse situations have not deterred them from trying their best to become tech-savvy and innovative.
The students at times may not have opened their videos or might have given a tough time to the teachers but the teachers maintained their cheerful demeanour. It is definitely a win–win situation for both the students and teachers as the students got a little extra time on their hands to become more responsible and self-dependent and teachers have got an opportunity to probe into the realms of their creativity to make the virtual teaching-learning process interesting. The testing times have taught us to look at life from a different angle.
The children have participated in intra and inter-school competitions. Though the students have missed their friends and their PT periods, they have learnt to get adjusted to the new normal. Great job children!!!!
